Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time pharmacist position is available within a multi-site healthcare system serving Ventura County, CA. This role involves providing expert pharmaceutical care across three distinct pharmacy locations: a medical center, a hospital, and an infusion center. The position requires a flexible schedule with a mix of 8- and 10-hour shifts, including swing shifts, every other weekend, and holiday coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense medications accurately and efficiently across multiple pharmacy sites.
  • Manage hazardous medications, including compounding chemotherapy treatments, following stringent safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapies.
  • Float between three pharmacy locations, adapting to diverse environments and workflows.
  • Document patient information and process prescriptions using pharmacy software; experience with Cerner is preferred, though training will be provided.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Licensed pharmacist with a valid state pharmacy license.
  • Experience in hospital or medical center pharmacy settings preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly among the three pharmacy sites.
  • Competency in handling hazardous drugs and chemotherapy compounding.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Prior Cerner system experience is advantageous but not required.

Location:

  • Based in Camarillo, CA, within Ventura County. Preference for local candidates able to commute between sites.
