Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students across K-12 near Fairfield, CT. This assignment kicks off August 26th and runs through November 16th, 2026, with the potential to extend as you cover a valued team member’s maternity leave. As an Occupational Therapist within the school environment, you’ll be instrumental in helping students flourish academically and socially. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and foster meaningful growth in your caseload.
What we’re looking for:
- Active Occupational Therapy license in Connecticut
- Previous experience in a school-based OT setting preferred
- Comfort and skill working with K-12 populations
- Exceptional communication and rapport-building skills
- Ability to manage documentation and coordinate with educators and families
- Detail-oriented and adaptable to a dynamic school schedule
What your days will look like:
- Deliver individualized and group occupational therapy services to K-12 students
- Assess, develop, and implement effective intervention strategies
- Maintain detailed progress notes, IEP documentation, and related reports
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families
- Provide consultative and training support to school staff
- Manage a Monday-Friday schedule, working 6.5 hours per day (lunch break excluded)
- Remain flexible to the needs of the caseload and the team mid-assignment
