This contract role near Jacksonville Beach offers the chance to work primarily with middle and high school students in a vibrant K-12 setting, with the added variety of a few elementary-aged students on your caseload. If you hold the SLP-CCC credential and are seeking a balanced schedule, this position provides just that—two full days per week (16 hours total).
Your position will begin in August and continue through the end of the school year, allowing you to see the positive progress your students make. You’ll collaborate with a supportive educational team and help students overcome communication barriers, empowering them to succeed both in and out of the classroom.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active SLP-CCC certification
- Experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
- Comfort working with middle and high school populations, as well as openness to a small elementary caseload
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop individualized education programs (IEPs) and maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Deliver engaging therapy sessions tailored to students’ unique needs
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation
