Job Description
Step into a dynamic role supporting students’ communication skills with a contract opportunity for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. This engaging assignment serves a diverse age range from preschool through 12th grade, impacting lives across the district with multiple caseloads.
As a valued team member, you'll collaborate with educators and families to develop and implement individualized therapy plans, providing both direct intervention and consultative services. With a manageable caseload of 46 students, you can dedicate focused attention to each individual’s progress while enjoying the variety of working at several sites.
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid South Carolina SLP license
- Attain Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (ASHA CCCs)
- Possess South Carolina teaching certification
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Prior experience in school-based settings preferred
Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders for students in preschool through grade 12
- Develop and implement IEPs and therapy objectives tailored to student needs
- Deliver individual and group speech-language therapy sessions
- Track and document student progress, collaborating closely with educational teams and families
- Adapt therapy techniques to diverse learning environments and caseloads
- Support students’ academic and social growth through innovative intervention
