Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A rehabilitation hospital in Elkhorn, NE is seeking two experienced pharmacists to support their pharmacy operations. This contract position requires strong clinical skills and the ability to quickly adapt to a focused specialty environment. The hospital does not have an emergency room or obstetrics department, concentrating instead on total parenteral nutrition (TPN) and intravenous antibiotic therapies for patients primarily on the rehab unit.

Location: Elkhorn, NE
Job Type: Contract
Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Saturday 8 AM – 4 PM (rotating weekends)

Responsibilities:

  • Manage medication dispensing and verification with a focus on TPN and IV antibiotics
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary rehab care teams
  • Utilize the Altera Sunrise system for pharmacy management (training provided)
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations and hospital protocols
  • Provide clinical expertise to support patient recovery and rehab needs

Qualifications:

  • Active Nebraska pharmacist license required
  • Experience in hospital or rehab pharmacy preferred
  • Ability to independently handle complex medication orders in a specialized setting
  • Previous use of Altera Sunrise system is a plus, but training will be provided
  • Willingness to work rotating weekends and Saturdays
