Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A rehabilitation hospital pharmacy is seeking experienced pharmacists to support their clinical services. This role focuses on specialized medication management, including Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) and IV antibiotics, primarily for patients undergoing rehabilitation therapies. The hospital does not have emergency or obstetrics departments, allowing pharmacists to concentrate on tailored pharmaceutical care within the rehab unit.
Location: Papillion, NE
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Saturday 8 AM – 4 PM with rotating weekends
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and verify TPN orders and IV antibiotic therapies for rehabilitation patients
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication regimens
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with pharmacy standards
- Utilize the Altera Sunrise system for order processing and patient records (training provided)
- Provide efficient, knowledgeable support in a fast-paced rehab hospital environment
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Nebraska pharmacist license required
- Previous experience in hospital pharmacy preferred; experience with TPN and IV antibiotics is highly desirable
- Ability to quickly adapt and integrate into existing clinical workflows
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with rehab unit staff
- Familiarity with pharmacy information systems such as Altera Sunrise is an asset; training available
