Job OverviewThis position involves utilizing various imaging techniques to assist in diagnosing and treating patients. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting radiologic procedures on assigned patients in accordance with departmental policies and hospital objectives.
- Ensuring that all procedures adhere to radiological standards, are performed safely, accurately, and promptly, and meet the American College of Radiology (ACR) imaging standards.
- Managing designated areas and/or procedures as assigned.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure quality healthcare delivery.
- Working independently when necessary.
- Associate degree in Radiology or a related field.
- Radiologic Technologist Certification (ARRT).
- Eligibility for Radiologic Technologist state license.
- Two years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Basic Life Support Certification.
- Experience in X-Ray procedures.
The following duties are intended to provide a general overview of the role and are not exhaustive:
- Independently perform radiologic procedures on patients as per policy and standards.
- Confirm patient identity and the procedure to be conducted.
- Deliver clear and precise instructions to patients.
- Ensure correct imaging protocols and parameters for each patient.
- Prioritize safety for both patients and staff regarding equipment usage.
- Engage in continuous education and training.
- Conduct quality control checks on equipment as necessary.
- Coordinate with other staff and departments for patient care.
- Maintain inventory and request supplies when needed.
- Keep work areas clean and compliant with DPH and The Joint Commission standards.
- May mentor students and assist new technologists.
- Frequent standing, occasional sitting, walking, and lifting of 30-35 lbs.
- Manual dexterity for operating radiology equipment.
- Ability to hear and see adequately to perform examinations and monitor equipment.
- Exposure to bodily fluids and communicable diseases.
- Understanding of radiologic equipment, examinations, and procedures.
- Knowledge of radiation safety protocols.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.

CompensationThe base pay range for this role is $37.18 - $47.41. Individual offers will be determined based on a comprehensive evaluation of relevant experience, certifications, education, skills, and internal equity to ensure fair and consistent compensation aligned with our organizational goals.
