Job Description
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A pharmacy technician role is available to support pharmacy operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This position focuses on accurately processing prescriptions, managing medication inventory, and assisting pharmacists to ensure high-quality patient care. Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this role.
Location: Lancaster, PA
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately fill and prepare prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Verify prescription information and patient data for accuracy
- Handle medication inventory management including restocking and expiration monitoring
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients collecting prescriptions
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and safety protocols
- Assist pharmacists with administrative tasks and medication preparation
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician preferred
- Familiarity with pharmacy software and prescription processing
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements
- Certification as a pharmacy technician is a plus
