Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students as an Occupational Therapist this school year. Available three days per week, this onsite role allows you to make a direct impact by fostering student independence and school success in a collaborative educational setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Oregon licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Experience or training in school-based OT services preferred
- Familiarity with K-12 student populations and IEP processes
- Ability to work effectively onsite with students, staff, and families
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Adaptability and dedication to meeting diverse student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to K-12 students according to individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assess students’ abilities and develop intervention strategies to improve fine motor, sensory, and gross motor skills for classroom success
- Collaborate closely with educators, administrators, and families to drive holistic student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and student outcomes
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings to support student growth and inclusion
- Support teachers with strategies to adapt classroom materials and environments to better accommodate students’ needs
