Step into a dynamic school-based role supporting students ages 3-22 with a wide range of physical and developmental challenges. This contract opportunity offers positions for full-time and FSY (Extended School Year) occupational therapists, as well as maternity leave coverage expected to begin in August and extend through March.

You’ll be the go-to expert for occupational therapy assessments and interventions, enjoying autonomy and flexibility while making a tangible impact. Your caseload will be diverse and fluctuate throughout the year, providing variety and the chance to serve different student needs.

Qualifications:

  • Active California OT license required
  • Demonstrated experience working in California schools with students ages 3-22
  • Familiarity with administering assessment tools such as the BOT-3 and Peabody
  • Comfortable working independently in an itinerant capacity with minimal supervision
  • Ability to interpret assessment data and effectively communicate recommendations to parents and staff
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not mandatory
  • Experience with K-12 students presenting with mild to severe disabilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, and implement OT interventions tailored to each student’s needs in a school setting
  • Conduct assessments and consultations for a fluctuating caseload with no student cap
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to develop and monitor IEP goals
  • Independently manage a field-based, multi-campus schedule determined by district priorities
  • Document and report progress and recommendations in compliance with district and state requirements
