Goode Surveys is seeking a dependable and motivated Field Survey Technician to join our land surveying team. This position works under the direct supervision of the Survey Crew Chief and assists with all aspects of survey projects, including field data collection, reconnaissance for horizontal and vertical control or property corner evidence, field stakeout for proposed routes and future construction, and other technical support as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with or perform the processing of field measurements and related survey data.
  • Assist the Survey Crew Chief with field data collection and construction stakeout.
  • Operate and maintain surveying equipment, including total stations, GPS equipment, levels, and robotic total stations.
  • Perform routine maintenance of survey equipment as needed.
  • Maintain supplies and organization of survey crew vehicles.
  • Follow established safety procedures while working in the field.
  • Work effectively as part of a survey crew in both field and office settings.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Two (2) years of land surveying experience preferred, but not required.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and willing to learn.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and indoors as needed.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to pass a driving record check.
