Location: Los Alamos, NM

Schedule

This is a night shift position with flexible scheduling options, including:

  • Monday-Thursday: 11:00 PM - 9:00 AM (4x10s)

  • Monday-Friday: 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM (5x8s)

  • Monday-Friday: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM (5x8s)

We are seeking an experienced CT Technician to join a growing healthcare team in Los Alamos, NM. Key Responsibilities

  • Review physician orders and patient medical history prior to imaging procedures.

  • Educate patients regarding CT procedures, equipment, and expectations to ensure comfort and cooperation.

  • Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the scope of practice when required.

  • Monitor patient condition throughout procedures and respond appropriately to any changes.

  • Prepare imaging equipment and maintain necessary supplies.

  • Follow established radiation safety protocols and perform quality control procedures on imaging equipment.

  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and report malfunctions as needed.

  • Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.

  • Evaluate image quality and repeat scans when necessary to ensure diagnostic accuracy.

  • Document, transmit, and report imaging results according to departmental procedures.

  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

Required

  • Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or a related imaging field.

  • Current New Mexico Radiologic Technologist license or ability to obtain prior to employment.

  • ARRT certification in Radiography (R).

  • ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT).

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred

  • Previous CT imaging experience in an acute care or hospital setting.

  • Strong patient care and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
