Refrigeration Technician
Portsmouth, NH | Full-Time | Onsite
3rd shift
Schedule: Mostly Monday-Friday with every other Saturday required. Sunday hours paid at double time.Position SummarySeeking Refrigeration Technicians to maintain and support ammonia-based industrial refrigeration systems in a frozen food manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, and ensuring safe, reliable system operation.
Key Responsibilities- Operate, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Perform maintenance on compressors, boilers, pumps, HVAC equipment, and electrical controls.
- Monitor system performance and minimize downtime.
- Complete work orders and maintenance documentation.
- Support facility safety, emergency response, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- 3+ years of HVAC or refrigeration experience (ammonia preferred).
- Industrial or food manufacturing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance and OSHA safety standards.
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and at least 18 years old.
