Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Grand Ledge, MI
Job Description
Make an immediate impact by supporting early childhood students through their critical developmental years. We're searching for a dedicated speech-language pathologist to cover upcoming maternity leaves, starting this September, in a contract role located near Charlotte, MI.
As part of this assignment, you’ll work exclusively on site with an early childhood caseload, focusing on PreK students who have a range of complex needs. Your expertise will play a vital role in multidisciplinary evaluations and direct speech/language assessments, contributing to student success from the very beginning.
Qualifications:
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Michigan state SLP license (current and in good standing)
- Skilled in pediatric speech/language evaluation and intervention, especially for early childhood
- Demonstrated experience working with PreK students and conducting multidisciplinary assessments
- Previous school-based SLP or healthcare SLP experience highly preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with educational teams and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete comprehensive speech, language, and multidisciplinary evaluations for PreK students
- Develop and implement tailored therapy plans based on assessment findings
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to craft individualized support strategies
- Document student progress and participate in IEP meetings to help shape educational plans
- Coordinate services to ensure each child receives high-quality, evidence-based therapy
