Key Qualifications:
- Active SLP license and certification required to practice in Colorado schools
- Prior experience or strong interest working within an elementary (K-5) school population
- Knowledge of strategies for managing articulation, receptive and expressive language, fluency, social-pragmatic communication, and the use of high-tech AAC devices
- Ability to adapt interventions for mild through severe student needs
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with teachers, families, and other educational professionals
- Strong organizational abilities to manage caseload, documentation, and service scheduling
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans addressing speech and language goals
- Provide direct and consultative SLP services using varied modalities
- Implement and monitor AAC systems to support student communication
- Document student progress and maintain required compliance records
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to support student success in the classroom and beyond
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute valuable input to multidisciplinary teams
