Pediatrics, Advanced Practice Provider - Adolescent Medicine
Job Description
Seattle Children’s is seeking a motivated and versatile Advanced Practice Provider (APP), either a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or a Physician Assistant (PA), to join our growing Adolescent Medicine team.

The Role
\nProvide direct care and assume primary responsibility for clinical management of patients in ambulatory, operating room, emergency department, and inpatient settings. Obtain patient histories, perform physical examinations, order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and develop treatment plans. Direct or participate in case management and continuing care. Collaborate, refer, and consult with department attending physicians, specialists, and other members of the health care team to deliver effective, efficient, safe, and high-quality care. Contribute to organizational and departmental continuous performance and quality improvement projects. Participate in education and research efforts for patients, families, and the health care team.

Location & Deployment
\nThis is a blended clinic-based and telehealth position. While your primary deployment will be at our Main Campus in Seattle, WA, flexibility is key; occasional coverage may be required at one of our partnering clinic sites in the area to ensure seamless patient care across the region.

Required Education and Experience:
\nMaster's degree in nursing with a concentration in a pediatric or family nurse practitioner program OR graduate of a nationally accredited physician assistant program.
\nOne year work experience in a pediatric or family focused clinical area.
\n\n
Required Credentials:
\nFor Nurse Practitioners:
\nActive, unencumbered registered nurse and advanced registered nurse practitioner licensure in the State of Washington.
\nCurrent national certification as a pediatric or family nurse practitioner
\n\n
For Physician Assistants:
\nActive, unencumbered physician assistant licensure in the State of Washington
\nInitial certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
\n\n
For All Providers:
\nActive Drug Enforcement Authority registration
\nCurrent American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Professionals is required at time of hire and to be maintained continuously throughout employment. American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) will also be accepted in lieu of BLS for Healthcare Professionals.
\nSome clinical locations may require American Heart Association Pediatric Life Support training and continuous maintenance of certification.
\nActive clinical privileges as an Allied Health Provider at Seattle Children's Hospital must be secured prior to time of hire and must be maintained in good standing and in compliance with all medical staff bylaws, continuously throughout employment.

Preferred:
\nTwo years experience in advanced practice provider role
\nTwo years experience in pediatric health care
\n\n
Compensation Range
\n$137,321 - $201,961 per year
\nThis position is eligible for relocation benefit for qualified applicants.
