Job Title: Patient Services Representative
Location: Tulsa, OK 74136
Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Days, Mon - Fri, 8:00A - 4:30P

Job Responsibilities:

  • Schedule patient appointments via phone and in person.
  • Register new patients and update patient demographics.
  • Answer and route incoming phone calls.
  • Prepare and maintain provider schedules.
  • Coordinate appointments requiring multiple services.
  • Greet and check patients in and out for appointments.
  • Collect patient payments and issue receipts.
  • Balance and close the daily cash box.
  • Prepare encounter forms, billing packets, and daily deposits.
  • Code procedures and diagnoses.
  • Verify provider signatures and documentation.
  • Copy insurance cards and process patient paperwork.
  • Prepare ancillary service forms (X-rays, vascular services, etc.).
  • Print and fax physician schedules.
  • Maintain patient charts and medical records.
  • Request, file, retrieve, and organize medical records.
  • Prepare new patient charts and inactive chart storage.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and primary care providers.
  • Obtain referrals and prior authorizations.
  • Discuss financial accounts and sliding fee eligibility with patients.
  • Maintain office supplies and coordinate reordering.
  • Prepare physician correspondence and immunization cards.
  • Sort, distribute, and log incoming mail.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
  • Provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced clinic environment.
  • Work collaboratively with physicians, staff, and patients.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of professional work experience..
  • Professional front office, patient-facing experience required.
  • Experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • EMR experience preferred.
  • Patient registration experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • No license or certification required.
Preferences:
  • Patient registration experience.
