Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a 3rd Grade General Education/Resource Teacher for the NSY 26-27 year. The primary focus is delivering resource instruction to a manageable caseload of 10–15 third graders, with the added opportunity to offer strategic push-in and pull-out support for select 4th and 5th-grade students.
What you’ll bring:
- Current teaching certification; Special Education certification is a strong advantage
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and administrators
- Strong classroom management skills and the confidence to advocate for student needs
- Adaptability to work with various grade levels and learning modalities throughout the school day
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Providing targeted instruction using both push-in and pull-out resource models, primarily for 3rd graders
- Flexibly supporting small groups and individual students in 4th and 5th grade as needed
- Collaborating closely with the educational team to align curricular strategies and monitor student achievement
- Creating a structured and inclusive classroom atmosphere, while managing your caseload efficiently
- Advocating for necessary resources to ensure an optimal learning experience for all students
