Looking for a stable, full-time inpatient opportunity with a nationally recognized pediatric hospital? We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist to join a collaborative pharmacy team in Little Rock, Arkansas. This permanent position offers a consistent Monday-Friday day shift schedule, excellent benefits, and the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities

  • Verify and dispense medications safely and accurately for pediatric patients
  • Review medication orders for appropriate dosing based on diagnosis, age, weight, and body surface area
  • Identify and resolve drug therapy issues including allergies, interactions, duplications, adverse reactions, and compatibility concerns
  • Provide clinical recommendations to physicians and healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes
  • Monitor patients for therapeutic effectiveness and participate in multidisciplinary patient care
  • Evaluate non-formulary medication requests and recommend cost-effective alternatives when appropriate
  • Ensure all medications are prepared, labeled, and dispensed according to hospital and regulatory standards
  • Process medication orders efficiently while maintaining accuracy and prioritizing urgent requests
  • Participate in patient, pharmacist, technician, and student education
  • Assist with drug information requests, therapeutic drug monitoring, inventory management, recalls, and medication procurement

Requirements

  • Active Arkansas Pharmacist License
  • Minimum 2 years of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
  • IV experience or IV certification
  • Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) certification
  • Strong clinical knowledge and ability to work in a collaborative hospital environment

Schedule

  • Full-time, permanent position
  • Monday – Friday
  • 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • 8-hour day shifts
