Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting early childhood learners as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist in the Charlotte, MI area. This on-site role offers a chance to make a meaningful impact during a series of maternity leaves, beginning in September, and focuses specifically on early childhood caseloads. If you are passionate about helping PreK students with complex communication needs, this position will allow you to use your expertise in both speech/language and multidisciplinary evaluations.

Ideal candidates have strong experience in early childhood assessments and are comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized treatment plans. You'll be working directly with students, teachers, and families, providing invaluable support during a crucial stage of development.

Qualifications:

  • Valid CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) from ASHA required
  • Current Michigan SLP license in good standing
  • Proven experience with pediatric and early childhood populations
  • Skilled in conducting comprehensive early childhood speech/language evaluations
  • Experience with multidisciplinary assessments for PreK students with complex needs
  • Clear, effective communication and documentation skills
  • Eligibility to work on site; remote or hybrid options are not available
  • Previous school-based SLP experience preferred; SLP-CFYs considered with relevant skills

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct therapy and intervention for early childhood students
  • Conduct speech/language and multidisciplinary evaluations
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and targeted treatment goals
  • Collaborate with educators and other related service providers
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
