Job Description
Make a meaningful difference in students’ lives by providing dedicated occupational therapy support throughout the full 2026-2027 school year. In this contract-based opportunity, you’ll work closely with students ages 5-14, primarily supporting those with disabilities such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and other genetic disorders. This role centers on one-to-one OT sessions, ensuring you can deliver highly individualized care and intervention.
Enjoy a balanced schedule from 8AM to 2PM, offering time for both professional and personal pursuits. With 55 sessions per week, this position allows you to truly build relationships and witness the progress of your students over the academic year.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Current Occupational Therapy license and registration in good standing.
- Previous experience delivering 1:1 OT services, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong understanding of therapeutic needs related to ASD, Down Syndrome, CP, and various genetic disabilities.
- Ability to tailor and adapt intervention plans for diverse developmental levels.
- Compassion, patience, and exceptional communication skills for collaboration with students, families, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized OT services across 55 sessions weekly to students aged 5-14.
- Develop and implement specialized goals and treatment plans according to each child’s needs.
- Track student progress, adjusting interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to foster an inclusive learning environment.
- Communicate regularly with families and educational teams regarding student development.
