Step into a rewarding contract position supporting students as a licensed Occupational Therapist in a dynamic K-12 school environment near Bethel, CT. This opportunity begins August 26th and is scheduled to continue through November 16th, 2026, covering a maternity leave with the possibility of extension. You’ll collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest quality support for students with diverse needs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing direct occupational therapy services to a K-12 caseload, adapting interventions to meet individual educational and developmental goals
  • Evaluating students’ performance and recommending appropriate therapy interventions and modifications within the school setting
  • Developing Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals, contributing input during team meetings, and monitoring students’ progress
  • Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and parents to provide consultation on adaptive equipment, classroom strategies, and student accommodations
  • Maintaining clear documentation and adhering to relevant state and federal compliance standards

Key qualifications:

  • Active Occupational Therapist license in Connecticut (CT)
  • Experience in a school setting and/or with pediatric populations strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong organizational abilities and a passion for fostering inclusive learning environments

This Monday through Friday contract role offers 6.5-hour workdays (excluding lunch), providing a fulfilling schedule in a supportive educational community.
