There are three openings available: one with elementary-aged students, one with middle schoolers, and a third covering a varied caseload, primarily serving elementary students with a range of needs. Caseload assignments can be tailored to your preference and strengths, covering K-12 with opportunities to work with distinct student populations.
What You Need to Bring:
• Current, active North Carolina license as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Active state teacher certification
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) completion
• Prior experience in school settings preferred but not required
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
Your Day-to-Day Activities:
• Provide direct and consultative speech/language services to assigned students
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized therapy plans and interventions
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary team planning
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Communicate effectively with teachers, families, and support staff
• Adapt your methods to best support student growth and learning styles
Key Details and Commitment:
• Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
• 2024-2025 school year, with staff return on 8/17 and contracted dates from 8/25 to 6/9
