Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Ellijay, Georgia
Job Description
Make a true impact on young learners as a speech-language pathologist, supporting preschool and elementary students ages 3 through 5th grade. This contract opportunity near Ellijay, GA spans from July 27, 2026, through May 2027, working approximately 24 hours across three days per week. You'll provide services to a dynamic caseload split between 2–4 school sites, delivering essential interventions in both preschool and elementary school settings.
This position offers the chance to collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and special education staff, all while fostering communication milestones in a supportive environment.
Qualifications:
- Must hold either SLP-CCC or SLP-CF credential
- Experience with pediatric or school-based populations preferred
- Familiarity with IEP documentation and implementation
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Adaptability in multi-site roles
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders in children from preschool to 5th grade
- Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor student progress
- Collaborate with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams to support student success
- Implement and document intervention strategies in accordance with IEP goals
- Participate in school or district meetings as required
