Job Description
Breckenridge Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team and help create exceptional experiences for clients and patients during exams and outpatient visits. We are seeking an outgoing veterinary assistant who thrives in client engagement, schedule coordination, and multitasking. In this position, you will play a critical role in supporting efficient hospital operations, creating positive client experiences, and ensuring patients receive compassionate, high-quality care. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and the ability to anticipate the needs of both the veterinary team and clients throughout the patient visit. Responsibilities include:\n

- Supporting efficient exam room and outpatient workflow to ensure exceptional patient and client care \n
- Maintaining accurate, thorough medical records and treatment documentation \n
- Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately \n
- Supporting veterinarians during outpatient procedures and treatments while providing high-quality patient care \n
- Building positive relationships with clients through education, communication, and attentive service \n

- Compensation: $15-18 per hour, for each hour worked \n
- This is a full-time position, with availability needed Monday-Friday, with rotating Saturdays. \n

- Proficiency in the following skills:\n

- Safe animal handling and restraint skills for dogs and cats of varying sizes and temperaments \n
- Knowledge of basic veterinary terminology and patient care principles \n
- Ability to assist with exams, treatments, and outpatient procedures \n
- Experience collecting patient histories and obtaining patient weights and vital signs preferred \n
