Contract opportunities are now open for licensed Speech-Language Pathologists, offering the chance to work across elementary, middle, or a diverse population of students in grades K-12. Multiple positions are available, with the flexibility for each SLP to select the age group setting aligning with your expertise and passion. This assignment runs the full school year, beginning August 25th and concluding June 9th, with teacher preparation starting August 17th.
Ideal candidates hold an active North Carolina license as a Speech-Language Pathologist, alongside valid teaching certification. Whether you are an SLP-CCC, an SLP-CFY, or an SLP with relevant school-based experience, your clinical skills and dedication are in demand. You’ll join a collaborative school team to provide meaningful interventions and support.
Required Qualifications:
- Active North Carolina Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Valid North Carolina teaching certification
- SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or SLP with school-based experience welcome
- Ability to work full-time (37.5 hours/week) on-site for the entire school year
- Commitment to providing services to K-12 students (caseload matched to your preference)
- Experience managing diverse and varied needs on caseloads is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy across assigned student caseloads
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to promote student progress
- Monitor, document, and report on student outcomes in accordance with state and district guidelines
- Participate in staff development and team meetings as required
