School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Apex, North Carolina
Job Description
Make a meaningful impact in students’ lives throughout the full academic year as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a supportive school environment near Apex, NC. Three contract openings are available for dedicated SLPs, with placements in an elementary school, a middle school, and one role serving a varied caseload primarily of elementary-aged students. Required Qualifications:
- Active State of North Carolina license as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Current North Carolina teacher certification
- Eligible for or holding SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY credentials
- Experience or strong interest in school-based settings
- Commitment to working the full 2024-2025 school year (8/25 - 6/9; staff return 8/17)
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech, language, and communication therapy to K-12 students, with caseload placement based on your preference
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other related service providers
- Conduct assessments and maintain thorough student documentation
- Support students with a variety of needs to maximize their educational success
- Participate in IEP meetings and other school team activities
