Job Description
Step into a dynamic educational environment serving K-12 students as an Occupational Therapist for an extended contract role beginning August 26th and extending through November 16th, 2026. This position is designed to cover a maternity leave, with the possibility of continued employment. You’ll make a difference every weekday, working with a diverse caseload in a collaborative school setting near Danbury, CT.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapy (OT) license in the state of Connecticut is required
- Previous experience working within school-based OT programs is highly desired
- Comfortable managing a K-12 caseload, adapting interventions for a wide range of developmental levels
- Strong communication and documentation skills for effective collaboration with educators, students, and families
- Adaptable and resourceful with the ability to balance multiple priorities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver OT services to students as identified in their IEPs, supporting participation and success in educational settings
- Develop, implement, and update individualized goals and interventions based on student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other related service providers to integrate therapeutic recommendations into classroom routines
- Conduct assessments, monitor progress, and maintain thorough documentation in accordance with district and regulatory requirements
- Participate in eligibility meetings, IEP meetings, and parent conferences as needed
