School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Tiverton, Rhode Island
Job Description
Make a real impact in students’ lives by providing direct support as a part-time, school-based Speech-Language Pathologist. In this role, you’ll join a supportive educational environment, working onsite with a manageable caseload of approximately 20 middle school students. This contract position starts August 26, 2026, and continues through June 11, 2027, with a consistent schedule of two in-person days per week (8:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.).
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Active Rhode Island Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE) certification
- School-based experience is a plus
- Please note: SLPAs are not eligible for this position
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services in-person to middle school students
- Assess students’ communication needs and develop individualized intervention plans
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and support staff to promote student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings, documentation, and progress reporting
- Maintain accurate therapy records and compliance with district and state regulations
