Job Description
Bring your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist to a vibrant school setting, making a lasting impact on students from Pre-K through 3rd grade. This is a full-time, contract position covering a maternity leave, ideal for professionals passionate about supporting young learners’ communication and language development.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP state license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility
- Demonstrated experience working with pediatric populations, preferably within school environments
- Familiarity with IEP processes, speech/language assessment, and data-driven intervention planning
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with educators, parents, and support staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals for students in Pre-K through 3rd grade
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to incorporate speech/language strategies into daily instruction
- Maintain thorough documentation of progress, maintaining compliance with school and state guidelines
- Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams regarding students’ needs and progress
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise to help each student thrive academically and socially
