Occupational Therapist School Setting - Orland Park, IL

As an integral part of a collaborative school team, you’ll work 32.5 hours each week, focusing on an engaging elementary caseload. Key qualifications and experience:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in Illinois
• Previous experience in school-based OT preferred
• Strong understanding of child development and therapeutic strategies for the elementary population
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with students, staff, and families
• Ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans collaboratively

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting assessments to identify students' occupational therapy needs
• Designing and delivering tailored therapeutic interventions in accordance with IEP goals
• Collaborating with teachers, school staff, and families to integrate OT strategies into the classroom
• Monitoring and documenting student progress while adjusting interventions as needed
• Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to multidisciplinary team discussions
• Promoting a positive, inclusive environment that encourages student growth and participation
