We are on the lookout for a dedicated and enthusiastic General Cardiologist to become part of our Michigan Heart Cardiology team located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Position Overview

  • Employment Type: Full-Time (1.0 FTE)

  • Work Schedule: Days/Weekends/On-Call

  • Work Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan

  • Specialization: Cardiology

  • Teaching Roles: Yes - Involvement with Residents, Medical Students, and Fellows

  • On-Call Duties: Shared Call Coverage: 1:6

  • The general cardiology practice encompasses echocardiography, stress testing, and outpatient cardiac arrhythmia monitoring. Level 2 training in echocardiography is required, with a preference for special interests in Heart Failure and/or Cardiac MRI.

  • Provide both inpatient and outpatient general cardiology care and consultations, focusing on heart failure.

  • Lead the development of a heart failure program at a community hospital, including a CHF clinic with outpatient heart failure monitoring systems (e.g., Cardiomems, Zoll, and device-related heart failure alert systems).

  • Facilitate co-management between the community hospital and advanced heart failure centers for potential LVAD and cardiac transplant patients.

  • Engage in pharmacological and device-related industry-supported heart failure research.

Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible Cardiologist

  • Active Michigan medical license (or eligibility to obtain one)

  • DEA registration

  • BLS certification (must be maintained) / ACLS/BLS certification (must be maintained)
