Job Description
Step into a rewarding role supporting student communication and language development as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), just outside vibrant Elizabeth, NJ. This contract opportunity offers flexibility, with part-time or full-time hours available based on your availability and preference. You’ll serve students across three schools, providing valuable interventions and supporting academic success for K-12th grade learners.
Working with a caseload of approximately 60–65 students, your expertise will truly make a difference in students’ daily lives. Schedules can be tailored to 3–4 days per week, with potential for 5 days as needed, allowing you to balance your professional goals with other commitments. The schools are ready to welcome a new SLP as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to students in K-12th grade
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and document student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to maximize student support
- Manage a diverse caseload spanning three school sites
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to team discussions on student progress
- Provide therapy that is evidence-based, engaging, and relevant to each student’s needs
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP license in New Jersey (NJ)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Previous experience working with school-aged children, especially in K-12 settings, is strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Ability to travel between schools as needed
