Job Description

This contract position runs from August 10, 2026, through May 21, 2027, offering a dynamic and rewarding opportunity close to East Saint Louis, IL. In this vital educational role, you’ll partner with educators and families, offering skilled occupational therapy services to a diverse caseload, with specific numbers provided at placement. Qualifications & Required Experience:
- Current, active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Illinois
- Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- Experience or familiarity with school-based OT preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Dedication to fostering inclusive, student-centered learning environments
- Ability to work effectively across K-12 age groups in a dynamic setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ functional abilities and develop targeted treatment plans
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services per IEP requirements
- Document student progress and maintain accurate case records
- Collaborate with teaching staff, IEP teams, and families to support student achievement
- Assist with adaptations, modifications, and interventions throughout the school community
- Provide staff education and resources as needed
