Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students across a diverse K-12 population near San Bernardino, CA. This role is ideal for an Occupational Therapist with a passion for fostering student independence and functional skills in a school-based environment. Multiple openings are available: two full-time school-year assignments and one full-time maternity leave coverage projected from August through March.

Your expertise will be pivotal in providing assessments, consultations, and direct services for a wide variety of needs, including students ages 3-22 with mild to severe and multiple disabilities. These itinerant roles offer autonomy and require self-motivation, as you'll independently craft your own schedule to meet the dynamic needs of the district.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active California Occupational Therapy license (required)
  • Recent California school-based OT experience (required)
  • Proficiency with BOT-3 and Peabody developmental assessments
  • Strong analytical skills to use data effectively in service recommendations and parental communication
  • Ability to manage fluctuating caseloads without a cap on assessment numbers
  • Comfortable working with minimal on-site district support
  • Spanish bilingual skills are highly valued, though not required

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and reassessments for students ages 3–22
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans based on assessment data and student goals
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support IEP development and implementation
  • Provide consultation and training to staff and parents
  • Maintain precise documentation and progress reports according to legal and district standards
  • Travel between school sites as needed for effective service delivery
