Job Description
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for an experienced IV/Chemotherapy Pharmacy Technician to support an outpatient oncology infusion center. This 13-week contract position involves working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Location: Canton, Georgia
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Responsibilities:
- Administer chemotherapy and hematology treatments in an outpatient oncology infusion center
- Utilize IV start skills and access implanted ports
- Follow strict protocols to ensure patient safety during administration
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to maintain smooth pharmacy operations
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in oncology/infusion pharmacy settings
- Current Georgia Pharmacy Technician license required
- IV certification with demonstrated ability to perform implanted port access
- Chemotherapy certification essential for working in outpatient oncology
- Strong knowledge of hospital inpatient pharmacy procedures preferred
Additional Requirements:
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the site (no local candidates accepted)
- Reliable documentation including updated resume, skills checklist, two professional pharmacy references, and applicable certifications/licenses
