Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Buckeye, AZ
Job Description
Step into a rewarding school-based contract opportunity supporting students’ communication and academic growth in a vibrant educational environment. This full-time role will involve working across two school sites (grades K–8 and 6–8) near Buckeye, AZ. The contract runs from July 29, 2026, through May 21, 2027, with the first day for students starting August 3. Your schedule will be Monday through Friday, 7:15 AM to 3:15 PM, allowing you to make a lasting impact throughout the academic year.
Bring your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist to a varied caseload of approximately 90 students, including speech-only preschoolers, K–8 and 6–8 general education students, and those in mild cross-categorical classrooms. You’ll also oversee and support an SLPA, contributing to team growth and quality service delivery.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid SLP licensure or eligibility in Arizona
- CCC, CFY, or school-based SLP experience
- Strong background in pediatric and school settings
- Comfortable with mixed caseloads and school-age populations
- Experience providing supervision to SLPAs preferred
- Familiarity with Google Workspace tools (Calendar, Docs)
- Proficient with virtual meeting platforms and online scheduling
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop IEPs, and deliver individualized and group therapy
- Supervise an SLPA, providing mentorship and guidance
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student outcomes
- Maintain thorough records and timely documentation
- Utilize technology for efficient scheduling, meetings, and progress monitoring
