Job Description
Pay Rate: $72/hr
Shift: Monday - Friday
Location: Richardson, TX (Onsite with limited remote flexibility)
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Senior Database Engineer to support advanced semiconductor manufacturing systems and enterprise applications. This role focuses on MS SQL database administration, performance tuning, reporting, data architecture, and manufacturing system support in a highly automated production environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport and optimize MS SQL databases for manufacturing and enterprise applications.
Design and maintain data marts, data warehouses, and reporting solutions.
Develop advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, SSRS reports, and Power BI dashboards.
Troubleshoot database performance issues and support critical production systems.
Support Oracle and DB2 environments as needed.
Create and maintain database documentation, security, and governance processes.
Work with manufacturing, engineering, IT, and operations teams to drive continuous improvement.
Support 24/7 monitoring, cybersecurity compliance, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery efforts.
Bachelor's Degree required.
5+ years of MS SQL, database tuning, and SSMS experience.
Experience with data modeling, database design, and advanced SQL development.
2+ years of PowerShell scripting experience.
1+ year of ServiceNow or similar IT service management platform experience.
Experience supporting the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Strong documentation and communication skills.
Experience with Oracle, DB2, SSRS, and Power BI.
Background supporting manufacturing, MES, SCADA, or semiconductor environments.
Experience with C#, Python, JavaScript, HTML, and web application development.
Knowledge of ITIL, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to communicate effectively during critical outages.
Strong technical communication skills.
Experience supporting manufacturing operations and IT/OT environments.
Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and explain solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

Pay Details: $72.00 per hour
