Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Hold an active Alabama SLP License
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Previous school-based experience or strong interest in working in educational settings
- Familiarity with IEP processes and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language needs
- Deliver therapy services in group and one-on-one settings, tracking measurable outcomes
- Write and maintain timely, thorough progress notes and documentation as required by school policies
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, offering insights and recommendations for student success
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to integrate communication strategies into the classroom
