Job Summary and QualificationsThe Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care and overseeing all functions within the unit or department during their assigned shift. Working alongside other management team members, the CNC directs, monitors, and assesses nursing care in line with established policies and procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and exemplifies a commitment to the organization’s vision, mission, and values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitates admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
- Engages in ongoing evaluations of the quality of patient care services in collaboration with management.
- Works with subject matter experts and other managers to foster a collaborative environment that enhances outcomes and service quality.
- Promotes a patient-first approach and participates in service recovery when necessary.
- Assists in improving staff engagement by implementing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding and hourly checks.
- Provides input on interviewing, hiring, and training new staff. Recommends and executes actions related to training, conflict resolution, personnel policy adherence, performance evaluations, and disciplinary measures to ensure a competitive organization.
- Helps with staff scheduling and manages labor aspects in accordance with patient care needs and productivity standards.
- Ensures proper inventory management and assists in overseeing supplies and equipment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in nursing.
