Travel Clinical Pharmacist - Acute Care Hospital

Join a 160-bed community hospital as a Travel Clinical Pharmacist. This 13+ week assignment offers the opportunity to provide inpatient pharmacy services in a collaborative hospital environment while utilizing EPIC and Pyxis to support safe and effective patient care.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness.
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians.
• Consult with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication therapy.
• Perform pharmacokinetic dosing and therapeutic drug monitoring.
• Monitor patients for drug interactions, adverse effects, and medication safety.
• Assist with oncology and chemotherapy medication verification as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Utilize EPIC and Pyxis for medication management and dispensing.

Work Hours

• ASAP start
• 13+ week assignment
• 40 hours per week

Experience

• Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license required.
• Recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required.
• EPIC experience required.
• Experience with pharmacokinetics preferred.
• Exposure to oncology or chemotherapy medications is preferred.
• Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills.

Education

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license in good standing.
