1st, 2nd and 3rd Class Pipe Fitters

ATSS has a client in Pascagoula, MS looking for1st, 2nd and 3rd Class Pipe Fitters.

Must Have:

\n
• 2-3 yrs of marine, industrial or petro-chemical pipefitting experience
\n
• Completed high school or equivalent pipefitting technical program with NCCER certification.
\n
• Minimum 4Ç Yrs. trade experience to be considered for 1st class
\n
• Basic math, reading and comprehension skills
\n
• Knowledge of the layout, fit-up, fabrication and installation of pipe, flanges and valves
\n
• Read and interpret trade drawings and/or blueprints utilizing both metric and standard measurements
\n

Nice to Have:

High school graduate or equivalent, Tech Master Certification

Job Description:

A Pipefitter, also referred to as a Journeyman Pipefitter, is responsible for fitting pipe consisting of various materials such as steel, galvanized, copper, copper-nickel and stainless along with the appropriate valves and fittings, utilizing various tools and equipment in accordance with drawing, arrangements, and blueprints. Production areas at times involve working at different heights, confined spaces, different weather conditions as well as multiple shifts 24 hours a day. As with most every position in the shipyard, a Pipefitter may be required to work either day or night dependent

upon the number of ships under construction at any one point in time. Ingalls stresses the practice of working safely in all situations with safety procedures meeting, and most times, exceeding industry standards.

• Base Pay Range: $40.32 to $52 Based on Test results
\n
• Per Diem $180 daily is available for candidates 75 miles away (verification required)
