Job Description
Our organization is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our team at our facility located in Syracuse, NY.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Support the Director of Nursing in management tasks and ensure high standards of care.
Oversee staff education and take on the role of Infection Control Officer.
Facilitate compliance and promote effective communication among all nursing personnel.
Address the medical needs of all residents in a timely manner.
Coordinate and manage the overall planning for nursing services.
Maintain a thorough understanding of nursing theory and practice.
Ensure the accurate and prompt completion of medical documentation.
Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and orientation of new nursing staff members.
Adapt work schedules as necessary to meet unexpected demands.
A valid RN license in New York State is mandatory.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Long-Term Care environments.
Prior experience in training clinical staff is essential.
Strong communication skills are required.
Demonstrated leadership abilities and supervisory experience are necessary.
