Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students' communication and learning needs as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year. With three openings available—serving at an elementary school, middle school, and a mixed population (primarily elementary)—you’ll be empowered to select the caseload that best matches your strengths and interests.
The assignment is for the entire school year, beginning as students return in late August and continuing through early June. You’ll enjoy a consistent, 37.5-hour work week, working closely with dedicated educators and families to ensure every child’s success.
What We’re Looking For:
- Active Speech Language Pathologist license in the state of North Carolina
- Valid, current North Carolina teacher certification
- Open to SLPs with CCC, recent graduates completing CFY, or those experienced in school-based settings
- Experience or interest in serving K-12 students; caseload tailored to your preference
- Commitment to fostering growth and communication skills in students with diverse needs
Your Main Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment for speech and language disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to promote positive student outcomes
- Maintain thorough documentation and participate in IEP processes
- Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities
- Adapt therapy and intervention strategies based on student needs and goals
