Job Description
An immediate opening is available for a licensed pharmacist with hospital experience to contribute to a fast-paced inpatient setting. This contract opportunity, starting ASAP for a duration of 13 weeks or longer, offers the chance to apply pharmacy expertise while collaborating closely with clinical teams.
Location:
- Based in Lodi, CA, with service coverage in the nearby Galt area
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify and process medication orders accurately to ensure patient safety
- Supervise pharmacy technicians, providing guidance and oversight to support efficient workflow
- Consult with physicians and nurses to optimize pharmacotherapy and address clinical questions
- Utilize pharmacokinetic principles to adjust medication dosing as needed
- Work within electronic health record systems, currently Cerner and Omnicell, with an upcoming transition to EPIC
Qualifications:
- Active California pharmacist license required
- Proven hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Familiarity with Cerner and Omnicell or similar health IT systems
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
