Hospitalist - Nampa, ID

Our organization is a physician-led multispecialty group with over 650 providers, presenting an exceptional opportunity for a full-time Hospitalist to join our team in Nampa, Idaho. This group is part of a regional network consisting of 32 physicians and 12 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) located in Boise. The Nampa Hospitalist team, comprising 11 providers, oversees a high-acuity medical service at a community hospital with 106 beds (set to expand to 224 beds). The facility is recognized as a Level III Trauma Center and holds Time Sensitive Emergency classifications for Stroke, Cardiology, and Trauma. Hospitalists serve as the primary admitting service for the majority of primary care providers within our network. The work schedule typically involves 152 shifts annually, generally following a 7-on/7-off pattern with 12-hour shifts.

The patient demographic is primarily composed of 40% adults and 60% geriatric individuals. Hospitalists manage cases including congestive heart failure (CHF), pneumonia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pancreatitis, strokes, neurological disorders, geriatric fractures, and various other general medical conditions. On average, rounding includes approximately 18 patient encounters each day.

The ideal applicant will possess a robust background in internal medicine or family medicine, complemented by Hospitalist training, and a keen interest in developing a practice within a growing multispecialty medical group. Additionally, Hospitalists will have the opportunity to engage in teaching residents.

Requirements:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
• Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, with Hospitalist training also considered.
• Board certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM), or the ability to obtain such certification within three years of employment.
• Capability to secure medical licensure in Idaho and Oregon, along with valid controlled substance registration with the Idaho Boards of Pharmacy and DEA; privileges must be granted at the Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center (SARMC).
