School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Castle Rock, Washington

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of elementary students by providing speech-language services during a maternity leave coverage. A full-time contract opportunity is available supporting students in a resource setting as well as the RISE program, which serves children with moderate disabilities. You’ll manage a caseload of approximately 50 students, working collaboratively with dedicated school staff. This position offers flexibility to be completed virtually or onsite, based on your preference.

Key Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current Washington State SLP License
• ESA (Educational Staff Associate) certification
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
• Experience working in school settings, particularly with diverse elementary populations and moderate disabilities
• Excellent communication and organization skills

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in a school environment
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
• Collaborate with general and special education teachers, paraprofessionals, and families for comprehensive student support
• Provide both direct therapy and consultation services
• Document progress, write reports, and participate in IEP meetings as required
• Utilize technology effectively if working virtually, ensuring engaging teletherapy sessions
