We are seeking a customer-focused Staff Pharmacist to join a busy outpatient retail pharmacy serving the Cooperstown community. This full-time contract position offers a consistent weekday schedule, a collaborative team environment, and the opportunity to work with advanced pharmacy technology while making a meaningful impact on patient care.
Responsibilities
- Verify and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
- Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and adherence.
- Provide immunization services.
- Support the Meds to Beds program for hospital patients.
- Collaborate with pharmacists, technicians, and healthcare providers to ensure quality patient care.
- Process prescriptions using PioneerRx and EPIC.
- Deliver exceptional customer service with every patient interaction.
- Occasionally provide coverage at nearby pharmacy locations as needed for vacation or sick coverage.
Work Hours
- Full-time contract
- Monday through Friday
- 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- 40 hours per week
Experience
- Retail or outpatient pharmacy experience required.
- Experience in a high-volume pharmacy preferred (approximately 1,100 prescriptions per week).
- PioneerRx experience preferred.
- EPIC experience preferred.
- Experience providing immunizations preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills required.
Education
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
- Active New York Pharmacist license in good standing.
