This position offers a part-time schedule—two full days per week, totaling 16 hours—beginning in August and continuing through the end of the school year. Your specialized skills will play a crucial role in helping students expand their communication abilities and reach their academic and social potential.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Active state SLP license or eligibility for licensure in Florida
- Previous experience in school-based settings preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, administrators, and families
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to K-12 students, with a primary focus on middle and high school caseloads
- Evaluate and assess speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and track student progress
- Document and maintain thorough records in compliance with district and state requirements
- Collaborate with teaching staff and parents to support student outcomes
- Support a small number of elementary students as needed
