Position Overview

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at our Peoria campus is looking for four full-time Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists. These professionals will deliver comprehensive healthcare in both inpatient and outpatient environments, while also engaging in the education and clinical training of residents and medical students.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care in the field of Maternal Fetal Medicine.
• Instruct, mentor, and guide residents and medical students in clinical Maternal Fetal Medicine.
• Participate in a consultative model, with the option to attend deliveries if desired, though it is not mandatory.
• Work alongside a team that includes 6 Advanced Practice Providers, ARDMS-certified sonographers, 2 diabetes educators, 2 perinatal nutritionists, and a genetic counselor.
• Collaborate with the Children’s Hospital of Illinois and various subspecialties at the University of Illinois, including Pediatric Surgery and Pediatric Cardiology.
• Create and present academic materials.
• Participate in shared on-call duties.
• Engage in additional tasks and special projects as assigned.

Essential Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in Illinois.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong ability to work collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven experience in teaching residents and medical students.
• Interest in pursuing academic leadership roles and engaging in scholarly activities.

The salary range for this position is set at $545,000 to $700,000 per year, with compensation being competitive and reflective of qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity.
